Committees

What is a Committee?

Committees are formed by Directors of MASR to support their responsibilities. Serving as the chairperson, they work in partnership with the Executive Board. Voting members of a committee must maintain active membership in MASR.

  • Curriculum Committee

    Work to assess and prescribe suggested adjustments to statewide frameworks, general curricula, or other educational offerings in Massachusetts schools to enhance each student’s experience.

  • Legislative Committee

    Work to identify, research, and develop plans to assist the Executive Board support proposed legislation at the local, state, and federal levels that are aligned with the legislative priorities approved by the Delegate Assembly. The chairperson of the Legislative Committee shall be the Director of Legislative Affairs.

  • Resources Committee

    Work to identify, plan, and create executable plans, campaigns, and projects relevant to the Association’s support of Student Representatives, training and support thereof, and dedication to the connection of Student Representatives across the Commonwealth.

  • Finance Committee

    Work to identify effective uses of the Association’s allotted budget, to research and draft applications for grants pertaining to the aims of the Association, and to consult with the Director of Finance on any activities pertaining to the expenditure of any monies in the Association’s account.

  • Communications Committee

    The Communications Committee will be responsible for identifying and executing strategies to enhance the image and awareness of the Association while bringing more members into MASR.
